Snow Day

We got 2 inches of snow overnight!! It was so pretty for such a short time. It turned to freezing rain and has been a cold, raw day. The kids got to go and play in it early this morning because of course, school was closed! Noah's birthday party is on Saturday and they are calling for more "weather". Should be interesting.

I've spent a good part of today working on 'stuff' for the birthday party. First off, since we are having a dinosaur themed party, I wanted to have a "cave" entrance to the house. My hubby made a frame out of pvc pipe and wire then I've been crumpling brown packing paper and attaching it to the frame. Looking good so far. Think I might hit it with some spray paint to give it some character. Next i have to fill the sandbox and bury dinosaur eggs for the dino dig. I hope the kids can keep there attention focused on the dino dig for more than 5 minutes. I still have to bake the cake and make the food. UGH!! So much to do and so little time left! This snow day has put a crimp in my plans. Oh well! I'll do what i can to make the party a success! Guess i'd better sign off this blog and get back to work!
